1. The first step is to assess where the bifold door rubbing is curing.

2. In most cases, they may rub on another door panels or the bottom the base of the frame.

3. If the rubbing is minimal, you may be able to adjust the pivots. If this is not possible or the pivot is damaged, then you will need to trim the doors.

4. Before we start to trim the doors, we will need to mark the sections that appear to be rubbing.

5. Take down the door causing the issue. Carefully lay the door down on a sawhorse to prepare the trimming. (2 people recommended)

6. Once everything is in place, and you have determined how much to trim off, adjust the saw to trim that amount only using the guide provided with the circular saw, this will ensure a clean cut is possible.

7. Carefully proceed to trim the door/s at the required amount. Cutting too much will create gaps creating more significant issues. To minimize chipping try using a new or sharpened blade.

8. Once the customization is complete, the door can be hung back in its original position.

9. After the door is installed slowly open and close it to make sure no rubbing occurs if so this means the amount cut was incorrect. Proceed to go over step 4 to 8 again.
